How to register an account in the Hik-Connect App – Before using the Hik-Connect app, users must register an account to use the Hik-Connect app. Hik-Connect is an app for remotely viewing live video of Hikvision CCTV cameras online.
You can register an account with the Hik-Connect app using your email address or mobile phone number. Here’s how to register an account with the Hik-Connect app.
Open the Hik-Connect App for the First Time
Step 1 – Open the Hik-Connect app. If you don’t have the Hik-Connect app, see how to download and install it.
Step 2 – On the welcome page, tap left until the start now button appears.
Step 3 – Tap the Start Now button.
Step 4 – If a window appears that says “This app might not run properly without the requested permissions,” tap Allow. Tap Allow.
Step 5 – Select a region. For example, Indonesia. Tap OK.
Step 6 – A message will appear stating “This service is available for your convenience.” Tap OK. In the next step, we’ll begin registering an account in the Hik-Connect app.
Register an Account in Hik-connect App by Email
Step 7 – Tap the Login/Register button.
Step 8 – On the Login page, tap Register.
Step 9 – Tap the Agree button.
Step 10 – Select Region. In this guide, we’ll choose Indonesia. Tap the checkmark in the top right corner.
Step 11 – On the Register page, users are asked to fill in registration data such as email address and password.
After the email and password are entered, tap the Get Security Code button.
Step 12 – Enter the Captcha as shown and tap the OK button in the top right corner.
Step 13 – Enter the 4-digit security code sent to your registered email address. Check your inbox. The security code should only be valid for 30 minutes.
Step 14 – IEnter the security code and tap the Done button.
Step 15 – You’ll then be redirected to the Hik-Connect app dashboard. If the Fingerprint Authentication window appears, it will help improve account security. Enable it? Tap Cancel.
Account registration in the Hik-Connect app is now complete. Users can then add Hikvision devices, such as CCTV cameras, NVRs, and DVRs, to the app to remotely view the CCTV camera display via mobile device.
